An Unexpected Christmas
This year, Christmas managed to sneak up on me like a ninja in the night. I was busy binge-watching my favorite shows, thinking I had plenty of time to shop for gifts. Suddenly, I found myself in a store on Christmas Eve, surrounded by shoppers who looked like they were auditioning for a horror film about last-minute panic! In a flurry of clashing holiday sweaters and the scent of desperation, I scrambled to find anything that could pass as a present. By the time I left, I had a rubber chicken, a pair of socks with reindeer on them, and a half-eaten fruitcake – Merry Christmas, indeed!
